The diabetes project is making people aware of the causes and dangers of diabetes, and is essential to controlling the disease. Diabetes research, although plentiful, is still not at the point of providing a cure. The disease still requires a huge personal effort for individuals to live productive lives.  The Lions project is centered on supporting diabetes education and teaching the public and those with the disease how best to live with it.
