Sometimes a club can feel that every organization wants money; it’s tough coping with multiple requests; local, state, international, along with influential members' favorites. Certainly, they can't all be treated equally; there's not enough money to make a significant donation to all those with their hands out.

For most, the priority is local causes; what you do is serve your community. It's logical, realistic and the right thing to do.

So, when it comes to sorting budget priorities, isn't it also logical to next consider the Lions organization whose sole reason for existing is to provide valuable services you can implement locally? To help Lions, Lioness’ and Leos serve by reaching, touching, improving lives. The Wisconsin Lions Foundation projects help us serve communities throughout the state.

The Lions Pride Endowment Fund of WI, Inc. works to preserving, protecting and providing for those important projects.

In the present economic climate, our club’s fundraising dollars seem to be shrinking, and we are not always able to do all we would like to for our community, our district and state needs. But there are still ways your club can make a financial difference. Take the Iola Lions who have started a new fundraiser, spearheaded by Lion Ralph Bostwick; by collecting aluminum cans from their community as well as a few surrounding establishments and donating the money raised to the Lions Pride Endowment Fund of WI, Inc. The Winnebago East & New Holstein Lions began a joint effort and shared the profits from their Christmas Concert with Lions Pride
